Mr. O’Kelley built several successful businesses and served on a number of local civic and charitable boards. Any of those contributions are worthy of lengthy discussion. But we want to share a story about one single decision, made by Mr. O’Kelley alone, that permanently changed the course of Conway’s economic future.

Ironically, the Arkansas legislature would do well to remember those famous words from Hippocrates as they consider what to do with the private option and health care during the current legislative session.

The private option is legislation originally passed in 2013 that extended private (but subsidized) insurance coverage to 210,000 previously uninsured Arkansans.
